PEDIATRIC AND INFANT LENSES

We don’t always think of contact lenses being an option for very young kids, particularly infants, but in some cases contact lenses can actually be a better option than glasses for young patients. Some conditions that can benefit from contact lenses include:

• Aphakia

• Steven Johnson Syndrome

• Keratoconus or other corneal ectasias

• Corneal scar

• Myopia

Depending on the patient's age and underlying condition the best lens option can vary, but properly fitting and managing their contact lenses is key.
